Motorola Tries To Turn Users Phones Into a Computer a Decade After The Failed Atrix 4G Laptop Dock

A lot has changed since Motorola’s Atrix 4G lapdock took place a decade back. However, a decade after, Motorola is taking another stab at turning a phone into a computer. Through an Android update, Edge Plus users can now connect the handset to a bigger screen for a desktop-style experience similar to that of Samsung’s Dex.

The new “Ready For” platform uses a multi-window interface that launches when users connect to a screen through the USB-C or HDML port. It will also be used for everything ranging from editing work documents and making video calls to playing Fortnite and also watching Netflix.
