OpenAI launches Code Interpreter plugin

OpenAI has announced that it is making its Code Interpreter plugin available to all ChatGPT Plus subscribers. The plugin allows users to upload any file or data and ask ChatGPT to analyze it, create charts, edit files, and perform other tasks.

Code Interpreter is powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3 language model, which is capable of understanding and executing code. This means that users can give ChatGPT simple instructions, such as “analyze this data set” or “create a chart of this data,” and ChatGPT will be able to do so without any additional programming knowledge required.

Concerns have been expressed concerning Code Interpreter’s ability to replace data scientists and render their employment obsolete. This is because the Code Interpreter plugin provides a huge advancement in data analysis, allowing individuals to do complicated tasks that were previously reserved for specialists. This has the potential to revolutionize the landscape of data analysis and disrupt the job economy.

Concerns extend beyond individual data scientists to the larger community, as experts worry about the profession’s future. Some fear that as ChatGPT’s capabilities expand, their positions may be marginalized or removed as well.
