When IT World Canada and its related publications disappeared something was lost. We lost tech news that was aimed at those who work with technology and those who need to know about the use of technology in our business and personal lives. We lost t stories that were written about issues in Canada and the world but with a Canadian sensibility – less hype and more practicality.\u00a0<\/p>

We always said we presented Canada to the world but told stories from around the world.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

That tradition lives on in Tech Newsday.\u00a0 It’s a long story about why we can’t use the name IT World Canada, but let’s just say that in this world there are those who don’t keep their agreements and try to use their size and might to crush Canadian companies. We are just another in a long line. But as Canada put elbows up, so did we. We’re back – as Tech Newsday and it’s associated podcasts.<\/p>

Our site doesn’t collect information about you and if that should change we’ll let you know and there will be a darn good reason for it.<\/p>

What will we do with your information? We’ll obviously send you a newsletter – that’s the main reason we collect info on you.\u00a0<\/p>

We may invite you to a meeting that could be sponsored – if we do that, we promise we’ll do everything we can to ensure its content and not commercials. We don’t want to waste your time. But realistically, we do need sponsors, but when we are doing a meeting for a sponsor, we’ll be upfront with you and with them. You will know that this is sponsored. If our head of content, a forty year IT veteran wouldn’t consider the event or content to be valuable, we won’t do it. Full stop.<\/p>
