{"id":13572,"date":"2021-10-13T11:42:41","date_gmt":"2021-10-13T15:42:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.technewsday.com\/?p=13572"},"modified":"2021-12-03T00:23:11","modified_gmt":"2021-12-03T05:23:11","slug":"william-shatner-joins-blue-origins-space-crew-for-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/technewsday.com\/staging\/william-shatner-joins-blue-origins-space-crew-for-flight\/","title":{"rendered":"William Shatner Joins Blue Origin&#8217;s Space Crew For Flight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Veteran actor William Shatner will be part of Blue Origin&#8217;s second crewed flight, scheduled to take place on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other crew members who will accompany Shatner on the trip include former NASA engineer and co-founder of satellite imaging company Planet Labs, Chris Boshuizen; Glen de Vries, entrepreneur and manager at French software company Dassault Systemes; and most recently Blue Origin&#8217;s vice president of mission and flight operations, Audrey Powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the mission, called NS18, is set to launch at 6:30 a.m. PT Wednesday, Blue Origin&#8217;s coverage will begin 90 minutes earlier and will be streamed live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shatner, best known for his role as James T.
