{"id":14789,"date":"2021-11-04T10:48:34","date_gmt":"2021-11-04T14:48:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.technewsday.com\/?p=14789"},"modified":"2021-11-24T17:00:54","modified_gmt":"2021-11-24T22:00:54","slug":"windows-11-built-in-apps-may-not-open-on-systems-microsoft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/technewsday.com\/staging\/windows-11-built-in-apps-may-not-open-on-systems-microsoft\/","title":{"rendered":"Windows 11 Built-in Apps May Not Open On Systems, Microsoft"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft announced that customers with expired digital certificates will have difficulty opening or using some built-in apps and features from November 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lists of built-in apps affected by the known 21H2 issue include Snipping Tool; account page and landing page in the Settings app (S mode only); Touch Keyboard, Voice Typing, and Emoji Panel; Input Method Editor user interface (IME UI); getting started and Tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft said in an update: &#8216;Starting on November 1, 2021, some users might be unable to open or use certain built-in Windows apps or parts of some built-in apps that have not installed KB5006746, released October 21, 2021. This is caused by an issue with a Microsoft digital certificate, which expired on October 31, 2021.
