Microsoft officials have announced plans to introduce a new “Front Row” feature for Teams users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The function aims to create better cohesion between virtual and in-person meetings participants. For the “Front Row” feature, Microsoft has moved the video gallery to the bottom of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This gives room for face-to-face interaction between the remote participants and those physically present during the meeting. Another capability embedded in the feature allows anyone to see and respond to chat comments during a meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Microsoft pointed out that it is working on extending Front Row with additional features, including a segmented view of the video layout that places all remote participants in a common background. This will make it feel as if they are all in the same room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Front Row is now available for all Teams Rooms on Windows, with single and dual display modes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other future features include the Loop app, which allows teams to replace the raised-hand panel with live note-taking and live-action items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Microsoft will add positional radio to ensure that the sound comes from the speaker that is closest to where a living or virtual session member is.<\/p>\n\n\n
