The three biggest challenges IT decision makers report on are cloud cost control, data privacy and security, and a lack of security expertise.<\/p>\n
Other challenges include the cost of moving data to and from the cloud, security management, lack of cloud management skills and difficulties in finding people with the skills required.<\/p>\n
According to the survey, the adoption of the cloud has had a positive impact on businesses, with 60% of IT decision makers confirming sustainable growth in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n
In terms of security management, 35% of ITDMs reported data privacy and security concerns, and 34% said that their organization lacked the skills and expertise to keep cloud data secure. 25% said that securing and protecting cloud resources was a difficult task.<\/p>\n
For IT decision-makers, migration difficulties in the cloud could be a thing of the past if cloud providers can guarantee security competence, better cloud and cost management capabilities, and strategic guidance.<\/p>\n
