Google announced the release of Bard, a communicative chatbot that will compete with ChatGPT, a language app that convincingly mimics human writing. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, made the announcement in a blog post.<\/p>\n
Google describes Bard as a “conversational AI service” that combines the breadth of the world’s information with the power, intelligence, and creativity of its large language models to help answer questions. Bard, like ChapGPT, uses online information to provide unique, high-quality responses.<\/p>\n
Aside from the Bard chatbot, Google has announced three AI-related projects in a blog post by CEO Sundar Pichai. The first is Bard, a conversational assistant based on Google’s LaMDA large language model that is currently undergoing limited external testing.<\/p>\n
The second is a preview of how it plans to integrate LaMDA into search results in the near future, including using the system to help provide a narrative response to queries that don’t have a single clear answer. The third is the creation of APIs that will allow others to plug into its large language models, beginning with LaMDA itself.<\/p>\n
With Bard, AI will be coming to Google Search more directly in the form of several new features “which can help synthesize insights for questions where there is no one right answer. Soon, you’ll see AI-powered features in Search that distill complex information and multiple points of view into easy-to-digest formats, allowing you to quickly grasp the big picture and learn more from the web,” Google said.<\/p>\n
