The acquisition is valued at $1.3 billion and will be finalized in Q2 2023.<\/p>\n<p data-ar-index=\"2\">Databricks says that the acquisition of MosaicML will help it to accelerate its growth in the generative AI market. The company says that it plans to integrate MosaicML&#8217;s platform into its own data analytics and AI offerings.<\/p>\n<p data-ar-index=\"3\">&#8220;Every organization should be able to benefit from the AI revolution with more control over how their data is used,&#8221; said Ali Ghodsi, co-founder and CEO of Databricks. &#8220;Databricks and MosaicML have an incredible opportunity to democratize AI and make the Lakehouse the best place to build generative AI and LLMs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-ar-index=\"4\">The acquisition of MosaicML is the latest in a series of deals that Databricks has made in recent years. In 2021, the company acquired Monte Carlo, a provider of simulation software for data scientists.
