{"id":4086,"date":"2021-04-14T16:32:41","date_gmt":"2021-04-14T20:32:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.technewsday.com\/?p=4086"},"modified":"2021-04-15T14:05:22","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T18:05:22","slug":"sap-2021-revenue-outlook-up-after-cloud-gains-in-first-quarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/technewsday.com\/staging\/sap-2021-revenue-outlook-up-after-cloud-gains-in-first-quarter\/","title":{"rendered":"SAP 2021 Revenue Outlook Up After Cloud Gains in First Quarter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>German tech group SAP last Tuesday increased its revenue outlook for 2021 after reporting encouraging first-quarter results, with gains derived from cloud sales following the launch of a new business transformation initiative.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Walldorf-based company presented its stellar first quarter results that showed CEO Christian Klein\u2019s new focus on selling business transformation as a service through its Rise with SAP package which has been steadily picking up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAP expects their cloud and software services to pull in revenue of $28 billion at constant currency, a 1-2% rise from last year\u2019s earnings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New cloud business rose 19% in the first quarter &#8211; the fastest in five years &#8211; while adjusted cloud revenue moved up 13% at constant currency.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total company revenue rose by 2% in the quarter at constant currency to 6.35 billion Euros.
