Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently announced a series of changes to give the tech giant’s employees more workplace flexibility as the company gets ready for a post-pandemic return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the new development, Google will allow its employees a hybrid working week. While the hybrid working week would allow workers to work three days at the office and two days from home, Google will allow some workers to request a change of office location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Google is also offering its employees four weeks a year to work from anywhere they want. Pichai says this will give workers more opportunities during the holidays and vacations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his memo to employees, Pichai announced that 60% of workers have returned to places where offices have opened for physical labor, and he sees the full scope of Google’s hybrid workweek as measured by an individual’s work, since some workers may need to be on-site and in the office more than three days a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that employees will continue to work remotely until September, while the company slowly reopens, with the option to apply for the permanent hybrid model in June.<\/p>\n\n\n
