{"id":7484,"date":"2021-06-25T09:59:13","date_gmt":"2021-06-25T13:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.technewsday.com\/?p=7484"},"modified":"2021-07-23T14:04:17","modified_gmt":"2021-07-23T18:04:17","slug":"microsoft-debuts-windows-11-with-new-features-and-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/technewsday.com\/staging\/microsoft-debuts-windows-11-with-new-features-and-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Debuts Windows 11 With New Features And Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Microsoft Chief Product Officer Panos Panay unveiled Windows 11 on June 24 during an hour-long virtual event titled &#8220;What&#8217;s Next for Windows?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some of the changes Windows users should expect for Windows 11:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are the Hardware Requirements for Windows 11?<\/p>\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-fd577f0f-5e1a-4c3f-aee7-be83de2498cb\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block is-selected rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"group\" spellcheck=\"false\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Block: List\" data-block=\"fd577f0f-5e1a-4c3f-aee7-be83de2498cb\" data-type=\"core\/list\" data-title=\"List\">\n<li>A &#8216;modern&#8217; dual-core processor with 64 bits<\/li>\n<li>1GHz clock frequency<\/li>\n<li>64GB drive<\/li>\n<li>4GB RAM<\/li>\n<li>UEFI, Secure Boot capable<\/li>\n<li>TPM 2.0<\/li>\n<li>Greater than 9-inch screen with HD Resolution (1366&#215;768 equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>DirectX 12 compatible graphics \/ WDDM 2. x<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>What is Leaving Windows 11?<\/p>\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-8129e7e2-4288-4468-9524-dbde77388b43\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block is-selected rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"group\" spellcheck=\"false\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Block: List\" data-block=\"8129e7e2-4288-4468-9524-dbde77388b43\" data-type=\"core\/list\" data-title=\"List\">\n<li>Internet Explorer is gone for good and users will have to use the built-in IE mode feature in the new Microsoft Edge.<\/li>\n<li>Cortana, once the rival of Siri and Alexa, will no longer be visible, and the icon will no longer be pinned to the taskbar.<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 users who sign in with a Microsoft account will no longer be able to use the Timeline feature from July 2021, and with the Windows 11 upgrade, it will be completely gone.<\/li>\n<li>The Microsoft taskbar removes the People icon and also removes developers &#8220;ability to incorporate taskbar customizations into apps.<\/li>\n<li>The Microsoft Teams app will not be pre-installed on Windows 11.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>What are the changes on Windows 11?<\/p>\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-4e18d04d-f5d3-46bc-9a8c-ff74e8eb7e75\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block is-selected rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"group\" spellcheck=\"false\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Block: List\" data-block=\"4e18d04d-f5d3-46bc-9a8c-ff74e8eb7e75\" data-type=\"core\/list\" data-title=\"List\">\n<li>The &#8220;Start&#8221; button is now located in the lower center of the screen instead of the left.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft replaces Skype&#8217;s &#8220;Meet Now&#8221; button with a Teams Chat button in the taskbar<\/li>\n<li>The upcoming Android subsystem on Windows 11 will have a proxy native app between the Android app model and the Windows app model. There will be a virtual machine that provides compatibility for the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which offers custom variants of Android that do not require support from Google Play services.<\/li>\n<li>The Amazon Appstore selection will be available to Windows 11 customers later this year.<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 and 11 devices can be deployed, used and managed side-by-side.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p>Windows 11 will be released to mainstream users this fall and early 2022.
