Zoho Corporation unveils privacy-focused web browser, Ulaa

Zoho Corporation has launched Ulaa, a new web browser focused on privacy and security.

Ulaa, meaning ‘journey’ in Tamil, has been developed to give users control over their personal information and to block unwanted ads, surveillance, and third-party mechanisms. In addition to these features, Ulaa also allows for seamless browsing across devices.

Praval Singh, Zoho Corporation’s Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience, shared in an interview with AIM that the browser had been in development for over three years, with a focus on creating a secure browsing option for users. While the browser currently does not incorporate generative AI technology, Singh noted that Zoho is exploring secure and privacy-preserving ways to integrate AI features in the future, with the aim of enhancing Ulaa’s capabilities.

Zoho’s recent announcement of Ulaa’s launch highlights the company’s active involvement in the generative AI field, with their proprietary AI engine, Zia, being integrated with OpenAI and 13 application extensions utilizing ChatGPT. Zoho’s dedication to AI development suggests exciting prospects for the future of Ulaa and its potential to revolutionize the web browsing experience.
