Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube have been accused of failing to remove more than 80% of anti-Semitic posts containing Holocaust denial and conspiracy theories about Jews.
The research, which collected 714 posts between May and June using each platform’s reporting tool, showed that Facebook, considered the worst provider, failed to take action against 89% of those posts.
Twitter removed 11% of anti-Semitic posts and Instagram removed 18.8%. TikTok removed 18.5%. YouTube removed 21.2% The Center for Countering Digital Hatred (CCDH) said 84% of reported posts were not acted upon.
In a report titled “Failure To Act,” the CCDH accuses these technology giants of turning the platforms into “safe places to spread racism and propaganda against Jews.”
