Computer science offers a lot when it comes to digitalizing the world. It offers career prospects, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasting more than 530,000 new information technology jobs to be created between 2019 and 2029.

Pennsylvania State University’s World Campus, which ranks the best online computer science courses along with the various institutions that offer them, occupies a top spot with 86 credit hours in lectures on topics ranging from software design to discrete mathematics and computer programming.

It also offers recognized electives such as applied machine learning and engineering security in software.

Another well-placed university is Davenport University, which offers 120 credit hours of general education, core and specialization courses.

For those who plan to study online, the university offers online learners the opportunity to choose between two disciplines: artificial intelligence or computer theory and algorithms.
