Top U.S. Universities Producing Today’s Programming Talent

In a recent report published by HackerRank, “The Best New Tech Talent May Not Be Where You Think: A Guide to Hiring from Universities in 2021,” the results showed a list of universities producing students with the coveted programming skills needed by businesses.

With companies looking for top languages such as Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Rest API and Go, the report showed that the New Jersey Institute of Technology came out on top in four out of five languages.

The State University of New York at Buffalo and Rochester also performed well, with top talent from the west side of the country coming out of the University of Texas at Arlington and Dallas.

Other notable U.S. schools included in the report include the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the University of Central Florida, the University of Maryland at College Park and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
