Windows 11 Preview Sees Microsoft Fixing Important Bugs

September 24, 2021

Tech giant Microsoft has provided testers with a new and important build on the Windows Insider Dev Channel that addresses several major issues with the new operating system.

The fixes come in the Windows 11 Insider preview build number 22463 for the Dev Channel and include features that are not necessarily included in the version of Windows 11 that is scheduled to be released on October 5.

There are five unique fixes to the taskbar in Windows 11, including that app images in space are now “properly aligned and centered again”, and they are no longer truncated by the “show hidden icons” button when too many apps are open.

Microsoft has now centred the notification counter for the notification center and fixed a problem with the chat flyout. Also, Explorer. exe reliability has been improved when the taskbar is used on multiple monitors and also ensures that the taskbar preview matches the text size settings for accessibility.

In addition, Start under Windows 11 now appears again as it should, after right-clicking on the Start button or using the key combination WIN + X.

In addition, a bug has been fixed that freezes the Start menu without displaying app icons when a large number of apps are installed.
