Windows 365 Trials Paused After Running Out Of Trials

August 4, 2021

Microsoft suspended free trials of its newly launched cloud-based Windows 365 virtual desktop after running out of capacity for the free trials, which provide various cloud PC storage specifications for free for two months.

Earlier this week, Microsoft revealed its cloud-based virtual desktop experience, Windows 365, which allows the company to deploy Windows 10 Cloud PCs on the cloud.

Microsoft seems to have underestimated the demand for the free trial versions and quickly ran out of capacity because when users try to provision a test server, they see an error message that states the “offer has expired.”

Microsoft’s director of program management, Scott Manchester, confirmed the news, noting that the company was suspending the free trial program while making arrangements for additional capacity.

Users interested in the Windows 365 trial will be notified when free trials are available again.
