A new version of Windows Terminal (Preview 1.13) can now start profiles that run automatically as Administrator.
The new version comes with an updated settings user interface and a new experiential rendering engine that offers improved performance.
Another feature is the addition of a customizable bell sound option, new actions, miscellaneous improvements such as snap layouts in Windows 11 and various bug fixes.
To start profiles automatically as Administrators, users can choose between two options.
The first involves configuring the app to automatically open a specific profile in an Admin terminal window; the second is to open the app as Administrator by clicking CTRL and the profile on the drop-down menu.
Unveiled in 2019, the Windows Terminal allows users to choose between the cmd shell, PowerShell, and Linux distro shells installed for each tab through the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
