July 19, 2021 Xiaomi is in second place in smartphone shipments in the second quarter, with Samsung at number one and Apple at number three.
Xiaomi recorded a market share of 17%, followed by Apple with 14%. Samsung remains at the top with 19%.
In general, the smartphone market has increased by 12% as the economy returns after the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the second quarter of 2021, Xiaomi advanced to second place with a whopping 83 percent jump compared to the first quarter. Xiaomi is growing in several continents, including 300% in Latin America, 150% in Africa and 50% in Africa in Western Europe.
Xiaomi has not yet made it into the U.S. smartphone industry.
