To make it easier for creators to understand policy decisions YouTube is conducting a test of its improved policy emails, which will help provide timestamps for violations.

Sending timestamps is likely to make it clearer and easier to launch an appeal and determine which rules have been broken while helping to prevent further future infringements by providing users with adequate information on why a decision has been made.

According to reports, YouTube only sends emails containing details of the alleged infringement of the Community directive and links to helpful resources, as well as direct timestamps, when specific infringements of the directives have been identified.
