Kijiji launches new version of its app

March 15, 2023

Kijiji, a popular online classifieds platform, has launched a new version of its mobile application. The new app features an updated interface and improved functionality to enhance user experience.

Kijiji is Canada’s first marketplace that allows millions of Canadians to shop locally and sustainably. Kijiji has been a pioneer in assisting Canadians to make money and find great deals in their communities since 2005. On our app, we cover over 400 categories, including Home, Autos, Electronics, Services, and more. We are the most visited automotive marketplace in Canada, as well as the most visited Real Estate rental marketplace.

This is the biggest technology update since 2005 with a completely redesigned and meticulously improved app. The Kijiji 2005 vintage source code is now for sale on the “other marketplace” for $1 and the all new app is listed on Kijiji for free.

“Our team designed this new application from scratch using the latest technologies to make it more intuitive, personal and secure. So, this is the perfect time to prove that we are getting rid of the old and that we are optimistic about the future, “said Adam Jardine, Kijiji’s marketing director. “The source code of the old version of Kijiji 2005 is now on sale on the “other classified ads site” for $1,” the company wrote in an ad on the sales platform associated with Facebook.

Thus, Canadians will be able to purchase this “piece of digital history” printed on more than 500 pages and housed in a “purple three-ring Performore satbook, with a transparent cover in 3 by 11-inch letter, decorated with the original Kijiji logo” for the princely sum of $1.

The sources for this piece include an article in Newswire.
