Autodesk has declared that it would not impose a return-to-work policy, instead introducing a “flex forward” initiative that will allow workers to work from home or the office.
Autodesk’s flex ahead program offers workers monthly incentives such as reimbursement for work-related costs, the option to work from any place globally for a maximum of 30 days per year, and a $750 payment for setting up a home office.
During an interview with Fortune, Rebecca Pearce, who holds the position of chief people officer at Autodesk, discussed how the company has adopted remote and hybrid work and experienced increased productivity. Pearce mentioned that the pandemic provided an opportunity for the company to experiment with unconventional work methods, and they are continuing to pursue the path they embarked on in a less formal manner.
The flex forward program aims to accommodate employees’ individual preferences while simultaneously improving business outcomes and enhancing productivity. Autodesk observed an increase in productivity during the pandemic, and they have gained insights from this experience.
