Ticketmasterās parent company, Live Nation Entertainment Inc., operates ticket sales and distribution in Canada and is based in the United States. The investigation was prompted by a complaint and aims to assess Ticketmaster’s adherence to the federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Specifically, it will scrutinize the companyās security safeguards and compliance with breach notification requirements.
