Rogers launches $95 global plan with unlimited data in 64 destinations

April 23, 2026 Rogers Communications has launched a new $95 per month wireless plan offering unlimited data across 64 international destinations. The new Global tier eliminates the earlier 250GB data cap and includes a five-year price guarantee, a structure that mirrors recent competitive moves in the Canadian telecom market.

“Our new 5G+ plans reflect our commitment to deliver amazing value to Canadians,” said Anne Martin-Vachon, president of wireless, adding that the plan combines unlimited high-speed data, priority network access and satellite-to-mobile roaming.

The Global plan is built on Rogers’ 5G+ network, which the company says can deliver speeds of up to 2 Gbps. It also includes “priority access” during periods of network congestion, positioning the offering as a high-performance option for users who rely on consistent connectivity, including those travelling frequently across multiple regions.

Alongside the global tier, Rogers has restructured its broader roaming lineup. A new $80 plan introduces unlimited data across Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean, although the cross-border roaming benefit is limited to 24 months. A lower-tier $65 plan provides 100GB of data for Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, with roaming access expiring after 12 months.

At the same time, entry-level plans are seeing reduced data allocations. The $60 plan now includes 60GB of data, down from 100GB offered earlier in the month. The adjustment marks a clear contrast between expanded high-end offerings and scaled-back lower-tier value.

The updated lineup highlights a deliberate pricing strategy centred on bundling long-term benefits into higher-priced plans. Features such as global roaming coverage, multi-year price guarantees and priority network access are increasingly concentrated at the top end, while lower-cost plans are becoming more constrained in both data and flexibility.

The Global plan also reflects a shift in how carriers are addressing international usage. By including access across 64 destinations within a single monthly fee, Rogers is targeting customers who would otherwise rely on local SIM cards or incur daily roaming charges. The inclusion of satellite-to-mobile roaming further positions the plan toward continuous connectivity across different environments.
