Tesla Investors Happy With Musk’s Recent Stance On Bitcoin

May 17, 2021

Tesla investors have expressed their satisfaction with CEO Elon Musk’s recent decision to stop accepting bitcoin as a means of payment.

Last week, Musk said in an update on Twitter that Tesla will not use the cryptocurrency as a way of payment because of the environmental impacts involved in mining bitcoin.

The company said it would use its bitcoin as soon as the cryptocurrency shifts to more sustainable energy.

Reuters found that more than a half-dozen Tesla investors revealed they were pleased with Musk’s decision on bitcoin.

Peter Branner, Chief Investment Officer of APG Asset Management, who is also a Tesla investor, says: “Energy waste should be avoided, regardless of its color. And Tesla should concentrate on its core business.”
